Sherri Dienstfry-Swanson, the current President of our Board, just retired from ISU as the Director of the University Honors Program. She earned her BS from the University of Nebraska, her MA from North Dakota State University, and her Ph.D. from Kent State. During her career, Sherri has directed over 100 productions and continues to adapt and direct Readers Theatres. Dienstfrey-Swanson is thrilled to be a founding member of OTAS and adores the freedom to work on various presentations with a multitude of creative and dedicated artists with strong work ethics. Sherri is the proud grandma of Kevin and Meredith Wilson!
Jamie Romine-Gabardi is currently serving as Secretary of the Board at OTAS. She completed her doctoral degree in May 2007 in theatre with an emphasis in theatre for youth from Arizona State University. She currently works as Coordinator for the Honors Program at Idaho State University. She loves all aspects of OTAS, from directing to acting, to, even yes, set building and costumes.
Ted Bonman is a longtime OTAS performer who joined the board in 2013. He now has two children and teaches Theater and English at Highland High School. That means that he appears onstage at OTAS less often. He is, however, proud to serve as a member of the OTAS board and work behind the scenes and on one-man shows. You can see him some Friday nights with his improvisational theatre troupe, the Comedy Project.
Jason Bartosic works as a music accompanist and teacher for the school district. He also employs his considerable musical talent as a vocal coach.
Angeline Underwood rejoins the OTAS board and we couldn't be happier. Angeline recently received her Master's degree in Communication from ISU and works as an instructor for the department of Communication and Rhetorical Studies.
